Ascendis Caller ID can import version 1, version 2, and version 3 settings and databases.  This is the best and only supported method for getting data from previous versions into the current version.

When you run the current version of Ascendis Caller ID for the first time it will offer to import from a previous version if it is installed.  If multiple versions are detected, only the most recent will be imported.

If you decline the import or need to import at a later time, open the File menu, then the Import submenu.  Depending on the previous version(s) installed, commands to import the database and the settings from one or more versions will appear.  If no such commands appear, then no previous versions were detected.

If no previous versions were detected, you cannot import the settings from a previous version.  However, you may be able to import the previous version's data.
