When I am using Hyper Terminal I get this reply :
RING
DATE = xxxxx
TIME = xxxx
NMBR = The Number Calling
NMBR = The Number Of MY phone
RING
RING
and not this(which is the correct) :
RING
DATE = xxxxx
TIME = xxxx
NMBR = xxxxxxxxx
NAME = xxxxxxxx
RING
RING
The problem is that I have 2 NMBR nad not 1 NMBR and 1 NAME...
I have a Micronet Shuttle 3000Externel 56k and Win XP Pro...
Can I do something for this?
Thanks a LOT!!!
Caller ID Problem...
Re: Multiple NMBR messages
Hello Adavis,
This is a new one for me! I did some searching, however, and found one other person had the same problem with a different modem in South Africa. Is that where you're located?
From what little I found, it looks like the problem is caused by the phone company, and not the modem. If true, that means it can't be resolved by replacing the modem. Since Ascendis Caller ID doesn't talk to the modem directly, but rather relies on Windows' interpretation, I don't know whether there's anything we can do. Can you look at the Line Monitor (Help -> Diagnostics -> Line Monitor) after a call comes in and see whether Ascendis Caller ID receives multiple messages from Windows? You can post the relevant part of the log here. If it's too long, send an email to support at ascendis dot com or using this form:
http://ascendis.com/callerid/support_form.php
and I'll reply with an email address for sending the log as an attachment.
