Is there a way to have Caller ID to announce only the name unless there is no name given then it announce the phone number?

There is no option in Ascendis Caller ID to do this, but it can certainly be done with an advanced action script.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say "there is no name given"? It is extremely rare for the name to come in as blank. The script would have to code each name value from the caller id device that you don't want to speak. (Of course, you could have an unusual phone company and/or caller id device that regularly specifies blank names...)

I will write the script to do what you need if you can answer the question about the names.
