Hi Bill,
The problem that you fixed here:
http://www.ascendis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=388
Has come back again!
When starting up the program stops with "New device detected - configure?" because there is a mobile phone plugged in to the PC.

Hi Graeme,
I just did a test in version 2.0.1.0 (the release version) and it looks like the fix is working as designed. (If you're still using 2.0.7.0, I expect the behavior to be the same.)
The fix I made prevents Ascendis Caller ID from automatically enabling new devices, which could end up disabling other devices. I did not remove the actual detection of new devices or the message.
Can you check whether the new device (a mobile phone connected via USB) is actually enabled, or whether a desired device (like a line on your Whozz Calling? box) was disabled? If neither has occurred, then ACID is working as expected, and I can look into disabling the new device message.
Finest regards,

No, several bug fixes and a lot of help work done after 2.0.0.7 went into the final release.GraemeP wrote:I'm on 2.0.0.7 - I didn't realise there was a release one! But I assume it's the same version?
Ok, look for "Tell me about new devices" at the bottom of the Advanced page of the Options window in the next beta release. It's working as you say - just the message appearing.
A "disable detection" checkbox in options would suit me!
