Comm port locking up

Hi,
Ref version 1.9.0.0
At times when exiting, the com port locks up and have to reboot PC.
Any one experience this?

Hi Jeff,
Are you saying that sometimes after you exit Ascendis Caller ID, the com port cannot be accessed from other applications? Are you using TAPI mode in Ascendis Caller ID?

Hi Bill,
No. I'm using an external MultiTech MT5656ZDXV modem. Unless that is using a TAPI driver.

Hi Jeff,
If you haven't changed it, you're probably using TAPI. The fact that modem is external doesn't make a difference. You can check in the Options window, Devices page. Click on the modem in the device list and click the Properties button. "Access through TAPI" is one of the options.
What is the specific symptom you're experiencing when this happens?

It was check to use TAPI. I unchecked it. Will see how it does now.
