Hello,

I am using an ESS Modem, and am unable to get a name and phone number to appear with the caller id. I ran the 'Repair Modem' but it said 'completed unsuccessfully - could not determine caller id command'. Here is my log file, anyone know what the problem is?? Thanks.

Hi Jon,

Could you post the contents of your Activity Log (View menu, Activity Log)? The relevant part should be between 01:45 am and 01:56 am on 09-06-2004. Also, if you can email a Technical Support Report (Help menu, Technical Support Report) to support at ascendis dot com, that may help as well.

This issue has been resolved. The ESS modem configuration is incorrect and does not specify the needed caller id responses. For details on the fix, see the following item:
