I was wondering would you be able to implement something that makes incoming calls display huge on the screen with support for multi-monitor systems. I have tried using open separate call window and of course bring main window to top when phone rings but they are both too small.Maybe a separate window but with a way to control the font so that it could be huge,taking up the entire screen.Or,so that it overlays to a specific monitor transparently in a specific color.This feature would be greatly appreciated as I have trouble seeing it from across the room.Thanks in advance.

I'm working on something basic that I can put into the current version, and then in 2.0 we can look at more options if they're needed. I'll try to post a new beta within a few days.

I just posted a new beta version with a new option on the Notifications page of the Options window. Choose 'Large window' under the call display window section. Currently the window opens full screen. It will auto-close if so configured, otherwise you can close it the normal way or by clicking on the window. If it shows up on the wrong monitor or you'd rather not have it full screen, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,this beta version works good but I noticed a couple of problems but I'm not sure if it's just my computer.I rebooted my computer and I noticed that CID wasn't in the tray but it was running in the task manager.So I clicked on the shortcut in the start menu to open it.Then I went to the option page and changed the notification tab options to "minimize to notification tray" and "open separate call display window...","large window".I used the "x" button to close the main window but it didn't minimize to tray.It disappeared but it was still running in taskmanager.I thought I should see it in the tray.Secondly,I made a test call and the separate window came up small instead of large.I went back to options and both of the radio buttons were now unselected and back to their defaults.

I think what the problem is that when you click on one radio button you deselect any other radio button on the page.For example if you select "minimize to notification tray" and then you go down and select the "large window" radio button under "open separate call display..." it will deselect "minimize to notification tray".

Thank though,everything else worked perfectly. If you could add the option to change the font color on the "big" window(just like in the main window) that would be great.Thanks.

I'm also having the problem with the system tray in 1.7.1.4

My apologies! As Otha described, Version 1.7.1.4 incorrectly cleared the tray icon settings when you chose small or large window in the call display window section. This has been fixed in version 1.7.1.5, which I just posted. Anyone using 1.7.1.4 should upgrade immediately to avoid the problem (which, while not fatal, is confusing and frustrating).

For those of you that tried 1.7.1.4, after installing 1.7.1.5 please revisit the Notification page of the Options window and re-select your desired tray option.

Otha, I'll work on the font color option on the call display window and get back to you. I wanted to get the Notification options fix out right away.

OK,this works great. Thanks. All the problems I was having in the last beta are fixed. I will wait for the next beta.

I just posted a new beta version (1.7.1.6) which includes customization support for the large call display window. To customize it, wait until it appears (you can make it appear immediately by right-clicking the main window status bar while holding the CTRL key and selecting one of the "Fake" call options) and right-click in the window. This will let you change the background color and the font options. Note that the font size you choose is the maximum font size that will be used; the program will reduce the size dynamically to make the text fit in the window.

The program will now also retain the size and position of the window between calls and executions. Initially the window is maximized.
