Any help would be apppreciated can't seem to get ascendis to work with tivo series 2 DVR 40

Hi dokbox,
Here's some potential issues when using TiVo support:
1) Your TiVo must have the Home Media Option. I believe recent models include this; previously this was a $100 option.
2) You must enable the TiVo server and TiVo beacon in Ascendis Caller ID's Options window (Network page, Show advanced settings)
3) If you're running the TiVo Publisher software on the same machine as Ascendis Caller ID, TiVo won't be able to see Ascendis Caller ID because only one program on a computer can advertise it's TiVo services at a time. (You would probably see some error messages in Ascendis Caller ID's Network Status log if the TiVo software prevented Ascendis Caller ID from broadcasting.)
4) If you had TiVo publisher running previously, it's beacon may still be running. Try stopping the TiVo publisher server, and restarting the computer. Using the Windows Services program, look for and disable the "TiVo Connect Beacon" service.
