Re: email
This could be a DNS error, or perhaps the server is the wrong type.ciprealusa wrote:1/28/2006 10:18:14 AM - Could not send mail because could not connect to smtpauth.mpinet.net: Socket Error # 11004 (EIdSocketError)
This means the server (smtp.mpinet.net) was not found when looked up via DNS. I can get the address of it from here, so perhaps your DNS server setting is wrong. It could also be a temporary problem with your DNS server.ciprealusa wrote:1/28/2006 10:25:14 AM - Could not send mail because could not connect to smtp.mpinet.net: Socket Error # 11001 Host not found. In either case, you may be able to use the IP address of the server instead of the name. When I pinged smtp.mpinet.net I got 199.174.114.107 as the IP address. Try specifying that for the outgoing mail server in Ascendis Caller ID (Options window, "Mail" page). Even if that works, however, something else on your machine is likely to fail (like web browsing) if your DNS server is not correctly specified. (The DNS server is specified in the Windows network settings, not in Ascendis Caller ID.) Of course, the fact that you left a message suggests that your DNS settings may be ok!
