Wireless Support
Re: Wireless Support
Hello,
Of course, if a firewall or router lies between the computers (this includes software firewalls like Zone Alarm or the firewall included with Windows XP) then a port may have to be opened and/or forwarded. This is usually the case for computers connected over the internet. Check the manual or online help for your firewall or router for instructions on how to do this.

Wireless networks work the same way as wired networks as far as Ascendis Caller ID is concerned. In other words, Ascendis Caller ID already supports wireless networks. If a network connection works between two machines for pinging, Windows file sharing, or any other TCP/IP program, then it will work for Ascendis Caller ID.Carpe-Nox wrote:How about supporting a wireless network in general?
