Bill, has a crash using 1.7.1.20 and used the inbullt crash reporter and the email bounced when sending to 'callerid_bug_report@ascendis.com'.

Let me know when your end is fixed and I will resubmit the crash log.

If this is not a problem at your end ... sorry.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the info. I haven't seen the crash in 1.7.1.20 or the email problem. I did a test send to that email address and it worked. From your description it sounds like the email left your computer, so I'll hope it was a temporary internet problem.

I just posted a new beta, although it shouldn't affect any crash. It may be worth trying in case the x.20 download got corrupted. If the new one crashes try sending the crash report via email again and we'll see what happens.

Finest regards,
Bill Root

Bill,

Posting this here again as I just cant seem to email the report to you with your "exeception" system.

This crash happened about 10 seconds after a call came in. I right clicked on the window and "Delete all Calls" was selected... Poof!!

I am upgrading to 1.7.1.23 now :)

[Steve]

Steve,

Yes, please try the latest beta.

It looks like the problem has to do with the calls data file. After installing the new version, try repairing the databases. (File -> Repair Databases) If you encounter problems, try turning off all networking first. If it still doesn't work, send me the error message(s).

Do you know whether any other programs were accessing the data files?

As for the exception reporting system: when you clicked the "Mail Bug Report" button did the exception report open in your mail program? That's what should happen with recent versions. Older versions tried to send it directly, but many ISPs no longer allow that. If the "Mail Bug Report" button doesn't work you can always save it to a file and send it or just paste the clipboard into a new email (the reporter copies the report to the clipboard automatically).

Done :)

Not that I know of, I sort of assumed you had a thread keeping the file open for the duration of the call or while the Caller ID Window and/or ballon is exposed therefore preventing the file from being deleted.
