Any problem using a usb to serial with whozz calling 2. The device works on a regular 9 pin serial port but not on a USB. I'm am certain of the com port the usb is assigning and the correct com port assignment in Caller-ID. The USB to serial works with other serial devices with no problems. Just not the Whozz Calling device. Here's the info from the last start

Re: USB to serial and Whozz- Calling 2
Hello Rod,
We have not tested any Whozz Calling? devices with USB-to-serial adapters, but it should work with an adapter that works with modems. Have you tested using HyperTerminal or another terminal program?

That's great! Thank you for your perseverance.Rodh wrote:Even though the USB to serial worked with other devices I tried another USB from Tripp-Lite Keyspan UA-19HS. According to their advertising "recommended by serial device manufacturers due to its dependability and "Best in Class" compatibility"
Apparently so. It works perfectly.
There seems to be a great variety of capabilities of the USB-to-serial devices out there. Some work for specific applications, but not others.
