Problem with beta version 2.1.0.0 and no sound device

Post by Bill Root »

Thanks to an astute customer, we have discovered a problem with Ascendis Caller ID beta version 2.1.0.0 on systems with no sound device. In this case Ascendis Caller ID will crash on startup. We hope to have a fix for this in the next beta version.

Lengthy Load Time

Post by lgregmiller »

On my machine, beta 2.1.0.0 takes a very long time to load - on the order of ten seconds. Much longer than 2.0.2.0 beta did.

Re: Lengthy Load Time

Hi Greg,

I assume this is repeatable? The first time this version runs it will perform some one-time operations. Afterwards I expect it to perform similar to previous beta versions. And, of course, 2.0.2.0 was not a beta, which means it would be faster than non-beta versions.

It could be that something else is going on, though. What type and speed of processor does your computer have? Is it a desktop or laptop computer?
