Greetings,
First let me say i Like the software.
How can I make a script to:
answer the phone
play a .wav, which will be disconnect tones, and then
hangup.
I've read that this will automatically remove you from many telemarketing lists.
Thanks,
Michael

Re: Play wav file and hangup
Hi Michael,
1) In Ascendis Caller ID, click the "Actions" tab
2) Right-click the "Block" action and choose "Edit Action"
3) Remove the "//" from the start of the "PhoneSound" line
4) Click OK to save the change and close the window
Your modem must be capable of playing sounds (as are "voice" modems) and Ascendis Caller ID must be accessing the modem through TAPI (as it does by default).

Generally two external serial modems, or one internal and one external serial modem will work fine. Two internal modems (or two external USB modems) are almost guaranteed not to work.
Please note that you need to purchase two licenses (or two copies) to run Ascendis Caller ID with two modems simultaneously.
As far as we know, the two are functionally identical, but we have not tested the Zoom 3049CF. The Zoom web site states "The Model 3049CF is RoHS Lead free compliant", leading us to to believe a manufacturing process was changed, not the product specifications....is there any difference in 3049C and 3049CF.
