Modify WEB Server interface.

Post by eric.l »

I love the WEB access.

I use it all the time when I travel.

Is there any way I can modify the web interface?

The big thing is that my PC has a no secure interface to the internet.

Thanks

Love this product!!!

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your enthusiasm!

At this time the web interface is not changeable. Are you talking about appearance, or something else for security, like authorization?

WEB server

Thanks for the reply..

I would like to see an authorization, or login.

I feel my server is open to the world under that port or even worse anyone could see who calls me even though I use a high port number.

The second thing was be able to change the apperance.

Thanks

Hi Eric,

Authorization will be in the next beta. I'm still looking into customization.

New beta with web authorization and customization support

Post by Bill Root »

Hi Eric,

I just posted a new version (1.7.1.26) which includes web authorization and customizable web documents. See the beta page for more details and downloading:
http://ascendis.com/callerid/beta.php

You should be able to figure out the capabilities of the web server by looking at the default web documents. One non-obvious part is that the code between ###CALLS#### and ###END### is repeated for every call in the range specified in the URL. ###CALLERS### and ###CATEGORIES### are analagous.

The only directives not used in the sample documents are ###FIRST### and ###LAST###. These correspond to the first and last record specified in the URL.

People who aren't interested in customizing the web pages should note that the default web server now includes a few more capabilities than before, such as paging (which is handy for calls!) and the ability to show a single call.

I just started to use this function and must agree, this is so good.
Now I can access my calls anytime from anywhere, works great even from a cellphone.
