Ascendis Caller ID beta version 2.0.0.1 now available

Post by Bill Root »

Version 2.0.0.1 includes the following changes from the previous beta release:

- made display panel / toolbar splitter slightly more visible
- reposition contact list after editing contact
- added Speak Name macro to easy action macro popup
- don't show error when importing very old version 1 databases
- minor help updates

Known Issues:
- most of the help still includes version 1 images and terminology

As always, bug reports and feedback are appreciated.

NIce job on this version!

Post by greghh »

Bill,
You and your staff have done a great job on this version! It's evident that you have worked overtime to get it to this point. Thanks for your efforts for a quality product!

All we need now is a built-in phone answering machine option so we can eliminate the external answering machine....

Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you! :D

We have some more work to do before release. As you probably know, the work doesn't include answering machine functionality...

I'm trying to adjust the columns displayed on the caller lists.

When I right click and "remove field" all is well, however I can't see how to add columns. Using the field chooser brings up the customisation window, but I can't see how to add the fields?

Hi Graeme,

Using the Field Chooser, you would drag the column to the desired position, and drop it.

Another way to change the columns displayed is to click on the widget in the upper left hand corner of the grid, just to the left of the first column heading. This drops down a list where you can check and uncheck columns as desired.

Excellent!

Might be worth changing the title of the customisation box to "Customisation (drag field to desired posn)"

On the whole - excellent!

I use a WHOIS 4 with network broadcasting of calls & all is working as expected...

I'm not sure there's enough room there to do anything helpful, but we definitely need to address it in help.
