Zoom 3095

Got the Zoom 3095. Had some problem configuring Phonesound. My 3049C had used phonesound at 16 bits. However, I found that the 3095 would only support 8 bit. I converted all of my Phonesound files to 8 bit and now everything works fine. Perfect solution using my new 64 bit computer that doesn't have...

Poll

I would also use the network option. It would solve the problem of my 64 bit computer being incompatable with a modem.

64 bit computer modem

Getting a new computer. It uses a 64 bit operating system. My current modem (Zoom 3049C) does not have a 64 bit driver. Do you have any suggestions or other modems that might work on this system?

Me Too

I have experience this very same issue. I tried making the blank number call a contact and blocking that, but this did cause intermitten blocking of legitimate callers. I will be following this issue to see if there is a possible resolution.

Unusual Bug

This may be a bug that occurs once in a million, but it happened to me. I received a call that read on my phone caller ID as follows: NUMBER: 919 NAME: Out of Area However, Ascendis picked up the first 919 area code in my contact list and displayed that name and number as the caller. I called that p...

E-mail Field

The e-mail field in the "Calls" screen does not import the e-mail address from the contacts list.

Copy Contact Information

Reference the drop down choices under the "Call Screen". You now have "Copy Call Info"; "Copy Call Name"; and "Copy Call Number". I would find the following useful: "Copy E-mail Address" or even better "Send Caller an E-mail" that would tak...

You seem much more tolerant of these calls than I am. I consider all calls utilizing automated dialing machines as harassment. These machines call 5 people at a time (the max allowed by law) and the first one to pick up gets talked to. The other 4 get a hangup. I've had naps, dinner, etc. interruped...

I also use the pictures and like that feature. You have to resize the picture before importing it. Ascendis recommends 100 X 100 but I use 150 X150 because I like a larger picture. I use Dell Image Expert to resize, but almost all photo programs allow you to both crop and resize.

Reference: Location List I am using the location list based on past contacts. Got a call (not in my contact list) that matched the zip code but not the prefix. Therefore I got the CITY+ notification which I would expect. I then added the Area Code and Prefix, along with the City and State, to the Lo...

User Friendly Suggestions

I have been using Ascendis Caller ID for 6 weeks now and it does everything I had hoped. No more telemarketer calls and a good record of my phone activity. I do have a few suggestions that would make it more "used friendly". 1. Ability to customize the toolbar. I have a few items I'd like ...
